What is a Trusted Person in the Workplace?
A point of contact for employees and managers - neutral, external and strictly confidential
A safe space to talk about tensions, conflicts or psychosocial strain early - before they escalate into sick leave, resignations or legal cases.
🕊️ A space of trust
Employees and managers can raise sensitive situations openly, without fear and outside the internal hierarchy.
⚖️ Neutral & independent
Independent from HR and management. I represent no side only a fair, constructive way forward.
🌅 Early guidance
Orientation and options before issues harden into formal, costly disputes.
Why should a company have a PCE?
A company in Switzerland has several strong reasons to appoint a Personne de Confiance en Entreprise (PCE)!
Legal obligation - Early detection and prevention - Trust and psychological safety - Reducing absenteeism and turnover - Strengthen employer branding
Conflict is not just an HR topic. It is a financial and governance risk. Appointing a Trusted Person is not a “nice to have” - it is a strategic investment.
§ Legal
Swiss law (Art. 328 CO, Art. 6 LTr, OLT 3) requires employers to protect the health and personal integrity of employees. Having a designated trusted person is one of the recognized ways and recommanded by SECO (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) to demonstrate compliance with this duty of care - and can help limit employer liability if a conflict or harassment case ends up in litigation.
🧠 Psychosocial risks
Reduces stress, burnout, mobbing and harassment - detecting strain before it damages people and teams.
💰 Financial
Less absenteeism, lower turnover, and management freed to focus on the core business.
Bound by a professional deontology
As a CSPCE-certified Trusted Person, my practice follows a clear code of ethics - the foundation that makes trust possible.
🔒 Strict confidentiality
Nothing is shared without consent. No identifiable reporting to the employer.
🤝 Neutrality & impartiality
No judgement, no taking sides - an obligation of means, not of outcome.
🎓 Certified & trained
Formal training and certification by the CSPCE, in line with SECO requirements.
